Panettone is a delicious sweet bread usually served in Italy during Christmas Holiday.
It has a very long tradition, some sources dates it around year 1200, definitely born in Northern Italy, in Milan.
There are many stories around the origin of this dessert; one of this is a love story:
the story narrates about Ughetto madly in love with Adalgisa, the daughter of the backer Tony. To impress Adalgisa, Ughetto asked her father to prepare a special bread enriched with eggs, sugar, butter and dry fruits. The outcome was a great success so that many other gentlemen start to donate this bread called “Pan del Tony” (that literary means Tony’s bread), and later Panettone, to their girlfriends.
Panettone is a delicious dessert, usually served after dinner along with sweet sauces like vanilla sauce, mascarpone sauce, chocolate dipping and more. Very well known in his original taste with raisins and glacé fruit
Our Panettone are baked by Silvana, our original Italian Grandma, who moved to Taiwan to follow her family with the strong wish to let locals taste and experience authentic Italian flavors.
The bread and dessert backed by Silvana are all made according to the traditional methods of Italian cuisine, following the original recipes and enriching them with all the love and care that only a grandma knows put in her cooking.
